Too Funny!

This picture just kills me!! She did this on her own and the funny thing is, that book doesn't even have pictures!

Photographer Mackenzie

Mackenzie really wanted to take some pictures and the end results were pretty comical...

Lego Land

This display was at the Saskatchewan Science Centre and was almost beyond the realm of my understanding. How in the world can people do this? Everything you see in these pictures is made from Lego. Unbelievable. I have never seen anything like it before. I know there are other places out there you can go but this is first time I've seen it myself. Blows me away. Pictures do not do it justice.

Happy 60th Anniversary

The main reason we went to Saskatchewan was to celebrate Grandpa and Grandma's 60th anniversary! There was an afternoon tea for anyone who wanted to stop in and give their best wishes and then there was a dinner for family members and a few close friends. All in all, there were about 65 people for dinner. It was a fun time seeing family that we haven't seen in many years and doing a little bit of catching up.

Aren't they just so cute?

Grandkids and Great Grandkids

This was late Saturday evening. We were sitting in the garage looking at all the cards because the mosquitos were so bad we couldn't sit outside.

Who needs fancy toys?

It always cracks me up when we buy our kids toys and things that we think would be fun to play with and they go and find something that you would never have thought of as being fun. Case in point, a bucket full of clothes pins. Very entertaining to a 2 year old!

So Much To Do...

...so little time. Mackenzie was a busy little bee while we were in Saskatchewan.

Helping Great Grandpa water the flowers...

...helping Daddy mow the grass...

...helping Auntie Richelle raid the strawberry patch...

...at the science center in Regina...

...at the spray park with Grandma.

Road Trip

The day after Mom and Dad (Gram and Pap) Francis left, we packed up the truck and headed North. We were headed for Saskatchewan and Grandpa and Grandma's 60th Anniversary party.

Mackenzie did pretty good for all the time she had to sit. There were moments when I wasn't sure how to repond to the, "I want to do something else" statements. There's only so much you can "do" in a moving vehicle! Coloring was one of thing...

This was when we got to Grandpa and Grandma's house in Craik (after a day and a half of driving and an overnight stop in Pense).

Mom and Richelle got to Craik a day ahead of us...

...with a car full of food. And that was only the half of it!

Alpine Slide

We were told by multiple people that we had to do the Alpine Slide while we were in Steamboat. So, before we headed out we all rode up to the top of the hill and slid down! It was a fun time although a little hard to take pictures once you are going down. You get the drift, right?

Rollin' Down the River

We went over to Steamboat Springs for a few days while Byron's Mom and Dad were here. The guys took a guided fishing float trip on the Yampa and caught "boat loads" of fish! They had a fun time. The girls went to the hot springs pool and we loved it! Mackenzie loves the water. The guys had the camera though so you'll just have to look at pictures of their day!

Rodeo Parade Anyone?

An annual event in Estes Park is the Rooftop Rodeo every July. It is always kicked off by the rodeo parade and is always a fun time. This year I had the priviledge of riding a horse in the parade with some other gals, some of them wranglers, from Wind River Ranch. It was a beautiful day, the horses were great and we had a fun time. Can't wait until next year!

Byron's mom, Mackenzie, Lena and Sara waiting for the parade to start.

This is my goal for next year...

These two just crack me up! Too cute!!

Happy 4th of July!

Well, there's not really much to say! The 4th of July was almost a bust because it rained off and on all day and actually downpoured around 6:30pm. We had an indoor picnic, which was just fine and then it cleared up, we bundled up and headed down to watch the fireworks. Byron's Mom and Dad are here and we are trying our best to keep them busy. Or maybe I should say Mackenzie is keeping them busy!
